I agree. Chest surgery is very, very painful, Mine was in 2014! I wear the scars proudly because I am still alive, makes me a survivor with all I have been through. (Stage 4 Cancer). If anyone asks, happy to talk about it. Otherwise, its means no more to me that having a mole on my face. I forget I have those until I look in the mirror. Then I see age, not moles! LOL! Have some fun and enjoy the day!

Don't feel bad about having scars. It is a common thing now days.
I had to have prostate surgery almost two years ago. It left me with 5 small ones on my abdomen. They have mostly faded away since they were small ones. Having those scars never slowed me down going to the nude beach or exposing myself to others.
This is a new picture but as I say I never was ashamed of them.
