RE:The Coronavirus, how are you dealing with it?

Haven't changed a thing. No reported cases anywhere near me.Not sure why everyone is in such a panic, it's just a new variant of an existing virus. I can see if you have other health issues why you might take precautions, but if you are otherwise healthy, you have very little to worry about (Other than not being able to find toilet paper in the store). Wash your hands, stay away from other sick people, stay away from everyone else if you are sick. Common sense folks.John aka cobeachbum

I agree! Schools are now closed for 3 weeks and the governor is asking any events with 100 or more people to cancel. I'm not worried about it. There are some paper shortages here, but it's not bad. I don't think that this will be as bad as the Flu of 1918.

I work in Los Angeles and people are starting to be more aware now that the school district has closed all the schools in the county. It's effecting people at work, but thankfully people are remaining relatively calm. Unless you're at Costco. Buddha/Vishnu/Cher help you if you are trying to shop for toilet paper at Costco...

For the life of me I can't figure out why people are stocking up on toilet paper. If anyone needs 48 rolls a week they need to get to a hospital-STAT!

I agree! Panic mode and running to the store in fear does not help anyone. It's like Y2K all over again! All you need to do is cough/ sneeze into one's elbow and wash hands for 30 seconds everyone.

RE:The Coronavirus, how are you dealing with it?

Being there are only two of us living in this home, we shop for groceries and other essentials once a month. We don't visit Costco that often because our Costco is the only one for many miles in either direction so it is always packed, Coronavirus or not! We got caught in the mild panic during our shopping. Watching people fill grocery carts with paper products that we wouldn't use in 6 months! We were looked at strangely as we put a 2 packages of 6 paper towels and a package of 24 rolls of toilet paper in our cart while others were putting several packages of each into two carts! The amount we bought will last us the month or more. We found that some food items were in short supply but we found everything we needed for our usual shopping visit.

I happen to fall into the category of those that are most susceptible to having more trouble with the virus than many others; I'm over 60, have underlying illnesses; diabetes, heart condition, lung ailments. I'm healthy now but just got over the flu a month and a half or so ago that knock me on my naked butt for 3 weeks. We are being cautious of our surroundings but we are hiding or self quarantining. We are continuing to live our lives normally. As I said, we were out and about the last two days and are actually having friends over for dinner this weekend. The rain is hindering our activity more than the threat of the virus! ;D

I am ready to stack up 12 x 48 rolls of toilet paper as great totem against the Covid-19 spirits and dance around it naked in my living room. Then I will wear scuba gear to venture into Costco and see if I can dive for the last remnants of any remaining pasta. If the weather gets warmer I'm going to sport a gas mask and nothing else in public. But I will still wake up scared breathless every morning at 2 AM with the great haunting angst that somebody, somewhere is not using hand sanitizer.

So, Andy, why the living room and not the front yard?
