Maintaining weight loss

Two years ago I lost 56 lbs. and so far Diane has lost 51 lbs.since last August. Now that we're required to stay home unless it's vital to wonder out, one major concern of ours is keeping the pounds off and getting as much exercise as we can. Fortunately for Diane, she still works the same hours at the retail store and therefore can expend most of the calories she consumes during the day. I'll be watching my caloric input and spend at least an hour on our exercise bike each day. For a moment yesterday, I thought I'd be shoveling snow but we only got an inch which as since melted. I guess my wanting to play 8 rounds of golf will have to wait till next year. Take care everyone and keep moving those muscles and joints.

I applaud your weight loss journey and hope that this interruption in your routine wont derail your goals. Perhaps you can take planet fitness up on their free Facebook fitness classes. I hope to be riding my road bike once the snow melts.

I lost about 40 a year ago by doing the keto diet. Joy and I walk 3 miles every day and I still do the keto 1 week a month if it looks like I'm adding a few pounds. So far, it's working pretty well. Evertt

Definitely keep moving and set reminders to do simple exercises and if you read, try walking around while you read some.

Great job on the weight loss!

If you have a little bit of clear floor space, you could take up T'ai chi - nude.

I'm in a similar boat. I started my weight loss journey 9-10 months ago and lost 25lbs. But I'm not getting as much exercise now that we're sheltering at home, and I don't have as much unlimited access to fresh fruits and vegetables.

I have an instant pot and I am used to doing plenty of bean dishes and soups, and I've found that these help keep me on track. I have had quite a few more snacks then normal, but stress is a trigger for me, and this pandemic sure is stressful.
