Lesson Learned
New England beaches are magnificent, but the short summer season results in crowds of swimmers....in bathing suits. One fine sunny day, I waded to waist depth, removed the suit, securing it under a large rock, and enjoyed my nude swimming frolic. Returning to the rock, my suit had been washed away by the outgoing tide. Returned to my blanket to the smiles and stares of lots of beachgoers and the roaring laughter of my textile friends ...and an old beach towel as my attire. Fond memory.
I have always been paranoid about losing my swimsuit after removing it in the water so have always tied it round mt wrist, ankle or elbow.
What makes it easier for me than for many people is that I have never worn swim shorts but always briefs or smaller costumes, usually tangas, thongs or strings.
