The Concert Topic
What bands/artists have you seen live? Which ones did you enjoy most? What bands/artists would you love to see live?:-))
Jefferson Airplane (Andy, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco)
Andy n Di
The Eagles, James Taylor (numerous times) by himself and with; Carole King, Sheryl Crow, Neil Diamond, The Go Go's, America, John Denver, Many, many smooth jazz artists (too many to list), I'm drawing a blank. I'll have to ask Di! ;DDD
Steely Dan at the Indian Casino/Resort right across the street from us!
Many in the 70s and 80s, The Who, Yes, Rolling Stones, etc... It is easier to come up with the band I didn't see that I wanted to - Led Zeppelin.
However, the most memorable by far was Steve Ray Vaughan. I was supposed to go see Heart at Red Rocks with a friend. However, the night before a tombstone fell on my foot (that's another story). I wasn't able to make that concert, but my friend feeling sorry for me managed to pull off front row center for Steve Ray. This was in an 30,000 seat arena. For more recent bands - Grace Potter and the Nocturnals was my favorite. I saw them in a small venue and at Red Rocks. In my opinion, they are much better live than in the studio. Now it is just Grace Potter ):
