8- Friday BBQs continue.
1- The club is coming together although in rough form, but functioning. The RV club house is in place, and we're repairing and building the deck. Carl was kind enough to donate some building supplies and several gallons of paint! A few campsites are cut, and accessible, although only roughly level. We're going to need to cut more camping areas but that's a good thing! I'm both relieved and excited the club is at least in a roughin stage.
2-The hot tub, is more of a lukewarm tub right now, as we explore options for heating. (Setting up a hot tub off the power grid has a myriad of logistic challenges). There is an outdoor shower behind the clubhouse RV, the tank above the RV heated by the sun, gravity feeds a hose and spray nozzle. (It refills from the RV water pump). The water can get very hot from the sun so check it before you spray yourself. Might have to let it run to cool down. The clubhouse has a functioning RV toilet that's available now, till better diggs are built.
3- The swimming pool is still up and functioning without any major problems! And that's good news, considering the dry summer heat.
4- Dave's burger BBQ went quite well! The burgers were delicious! We had elk on Friday and bison on Saturday! He guessed how much meat to bring, it worked out perfect between the RSVPs and enough to invite a few new arrivals. It was one of those rare occasions where everything went perfectly!
5- We were pleased to meet (let's call them) Mr and Mrs Debares, two new members (an absolute stunning couple) who were traveling the U.S.and visiting various clothing optional venues along the way. So we are definitely pleased they found us! It was certainly a delight hearing about the different clubs they've visited. Perhaps even better, their travels of Clubs, and experiences, have given us some wonderful ideas to implement at this Club. (We will expand on the ideas soon, it's going to be exciting!) They were able to put Nathan's campsite to good use! Thanks Nathan!!
6- We were pleased to meet Carl from Gallatin Valley, he was one of our first members! (He was a member before the website was even built). He has become a regular at the Magic Circle, a clothing optional campground in Arizona. And we look forward to hearing about some of the activities there, so that we can implement them here! And he even made a special trip to Laurel for some building supplies for the deck, and donated them to the club, so you can't beat that!
7- My wife starts her new schedule of every other weekend off work. This coming weekend and every other weekend, she'll be able to hang out at the club! So we're definitely looking forward to that. So if you haven't met her yet the weekends would be a good opportunity. And during the week both of us are generally at the club by the afternoon.
8- And of course we'll be doing a barbecue this coming weekend Friday 7/31. and Saturday 8/1... And as usual, the club is always open whenever your heart desires. Masks and Pants are still optional!
