Spring Cleanup
Each day this site becomes more of a cesspool filled with inappropriate groups, profiles trolling for sex partners, photos in bad taste or in violation of the TOS and a Forum of rude flamers. As a result, each day the site drifts further from the stated purpose of being a nudist site for nudists.
I wont pretend that I am able to read the mind of TT1 but is my guess is that the call for moderators has been ignored because he has seen the damage that can be done when individuals are given the authority to impose their own narrow minded opinions upon others. Iwould like to have my personal Zap button so I could Zap all the photos, groups and comments which I find offensive out of existence. I have this authority in the group which I created and have used it only once to delete a member who posted a photo obviously in violation of the site TOS. The problem with censorship of any sort is that it is subjective in many cases. Except for obvious TOS violations only TT1 can decide what is acceptable and what is not. If I was given a Zap button I would have to question every time if TT1 would delete that particular photo. If I cannot trust myself to be a moderator who would police the site as TT1 would, how can he appoint moderators which can be trusted to keep the site as he desires? While, Im sure, there are others, I can only think of one couple that could be considered for this type of responsibility.
I am realistic enough to realize that the following suggestions for self- policing are not going to have a great effect upon getting this site back on track but here are a few ideas.
1. If you are on this site for sex; delete your profile.
2. If you have set up a false profile: delete it.
3. Go through the photos in your profile and use the following criteria; If your mother was a nudist, is this a picture which she would approve? If not, delete it.
4. If you have formed a group which is not appropriate for this site, use the Close Button, in your account.
5. Respect the opinions of fellow nudists and be courteous in all your postings.
6. Continue to flag violations.
7. Group creators and moderators should delete members in violation of the TOS and message them with the reason.
8. If you receive a friend request and find the profile in violation. Deny it, flag it and message it.
9. Site members who find themselves frequently flagged should be ashamed of detracting from the pleasure the True Nudists receive from visiting this site.
This is not a perfect world and this is not a perfect site but using this Spring as an occasion to remove your own trash could make things better.
While I am relatively new here, I have to agree there is a lot of garbage to skip past. So far I've not let it bother me too much. I can choose which groups to join, which to ignore, which people seem like potential good acquaintances or friends. But I can see that over time, if it continues, this place will become useless as more and more trolls and perverts arrive, which will cause fewer true nudists to say and fewer to join.
What I would like to see is to move more into the groups section. Keep the basic forum for basic "newbe" questions. and move all the politics, specific questions, and banter into the groups. Groups can be setup with moderators and can have membership controlled by the creator. But for this to work groups should have to be approved to begin with. Then TT1 can keep the forum clean and approve groups and the group creators can moderate to their hearts content. If a forum question has been answered in a group, post a link in a message stating "Moved to whatever group" link.
When I discovered this feature I stopped asking for forum moderators.
I totally agree with NIM and Cute as well. All of what NIM says is 100% on target and Cute's point that many pay to be here is another one that needs to be considered. We are choosing to be here and paying to help the site out because the concept is very good, yet, the time to appoint moderators in the forum is here. Almost every forum I've participated in has mods and like NIM said, they only have as much authority as the site owner allows. There are rules set, they enforce them, and that is it. If users don't like the rules, the "logout" button is at the top right of the page and/or the "cancel" button is under your My Account page.

The justification for general site mods is already here and to be found in the threads of the Bisexual Nudists group. The chatroom was an unpleasant place that has been turned around by 'chatmods' the sooner they are implemented into the rest of the site the better.
