How can I set the page to the International System?
Hello, I am still new here and I cannot find how to change from the Imperial System to the International System. Is there a way?
I assume your talking about Kgs instead of Lbs, Kilometers instead of miles, C instead of F? To the best of my knowledge, TN does not have that capability. It is what it is.

Some of us who believe the metric system to be the better choice for the United States of We'll Stay Archaic, will put both in our writings to make it easier for all readers. I live about 15 miles(24km) from the beach where I can get naked and I'd like to get down to about 80kg from my 250 pounds, but 100kg would likely be more achievable.

It's just that, apart from 3 or 4 countries, people cannot use the Imperial System, just the International one. I tried to understand the Imperial onde but it was too complex :( Oh well, it is written in my description, it just hurts my eyes to see zero in both my weight and height.
Cheers everyone.
(US) Americans made a big push to learn and use the metric system in the early 1970s. I remember it well. Metric was simple for me personally but many of my classmates had problems understanding it. Its base-10 for goodness sake; its easier than inches, feet, yards, ounces, pounds, cups, quarts... and all that other silliness. And what is Farenheit based on? Celsius is so much easier. Our medical profession does use metric - see dosages for a good example. Apparently we were either too dumb or too stubborn to change. Gawd bless Ahmurrka....

I believe both and even more sadly, industry uses the metric system. All of our food labels are metric. Health care is all metric, and they still translate our weight into pounds for us but put kilograms into our records.
I had this argument with my mother several times. She asked why should she should have to translate the metric measures back into English. I told her every time that after a very short while she would know that 20 degreesC is about 68 F and that 25mm is about an inch. Though our official system of measurement is the metric system. It was not mandated that we adopt it as was done in Canada and the UK,
Think about this. I can't think of any nation steeped in tradition as the British, and they changed. It is way past due for that mandate to be made. It would boost our economy, eliminate errors that have cost billions of dollars, and make communication just a bit easier. I would be happy to be driving at 100 instead of the legal 55, but even when I drive the 100, I'm being passed by too many cars.

We didnt change totally in the UK. Road signs are still in miles and miles per hour. Most talk about fuel consumption in mpg although we buy our fuel in litres, and car speedos etc are in mph.
I still buy beer by the pint or half pint in pubs, when they are open, my milk gets delivered in pint bottles. And thee are certain loose goods that you can still buy in the imperial quantities. When I buy a ruler or tape measure they still have both metric and imperial scales.
You at least can easily get tape measures in both systems. When I am building something, I'd have no problem using a 5x10 or a 50 x 100 instead of a 2x4 which is not two inches by four inches anyway. In the U.S., our speedometers have both, but the odometers are in miles which I believe can easily be changed with our digital dashboards. Then to make this even funnier, that care are all built with metric measurements and use metric tools to repair them.
While the UK has changed over entirely to the metric system the vernacular still uses the old imperial measures with the result that you regularly hear builders ordering thirty metres of 4 by 2 timber and such things as speed limits are still in miles per hour.
It is interesting that in France which officially changed to the metric system over two centuries ago a half kilo of fruit or vegetables is still called "un livre" or pound while a small beer is "un demi" referring to a half pint.
Apparently we were either too dumb or too stubborn to change. Gawd bless Ahmurrka....
I am from the US. A good example of why the widespread adoption of the metric system failed here is the C-19 outbreak. Just look at the number of people that resist the C-19 safety rules. Orders to wear a mask is a inconvenience, not a violation of civil liberties.
Back to the OP. Even as old as I am, I know there are conversion tools online that can be downloaded for easy access, if you just look for them.
