Looking for information on Cherokee Lodge Resort (Cumberland?) in Crossville TN
I did, the email bounced. But thanks, j
My understanding it the place is under New management, web site is down but they are supposed to be open, but now that Fall is here I can not say to what extent, just keep trying or maybe make adrive up and find out if you are not to far away, just depends where you are located?
I am in San Antonio, at Riverside Ranch. I know that they are open, I have had reports from Chatta-nudists in Chattanooga, TN. I know the original owner, Danny Davis. I know that it has been sold. I just can't seem to find the chat web site to say hello and see what is going on. If anyone goes out there, just tell everyone I said hello.
Thanks,
Jerry
Well, quite a bit has happened this summer at Cherokee / Cumberland. I was (am?) a member there, had a full-time site but pulled out camper with the mass exodus this past weekend. John Zieba had bought the resort back in March....from March to October he was in a lawsuit with Danny because of all kinds of crap - I can elaborate if you'd like. Anyways, as of today at 5:00pm Danny took over. I probably won't be back this year, but we'll see what happens.Danny did not actually win the lawsuit, but as I said before it was all a big mess, but who knows what will actually happen with the resort?!?
Ack, I just got a message from a friend in Chattanudists group. Man I am sorry to hear all of that. The alcohol must have just taken over Danny, back in the late 90's he was a decent fellow. Wow. In any case, thank you for the updates and please keep me posted, it was one of my all time favorite places at one time.
Thanks!!
Jerry
Latest Information
(Special thanks to JimKnoxville)
I just spoke with office staff at the resort via phone. Cherokee Lodge is closed for the winter. When they open again next spring they will be a textile campground with the focus of business on church retreats, etc. They have left the nudist lifestyle behind. It will no longer be a nudist venue. Staff did say to check back with them in the spring, but I think that was only because I expressed an interest to come visit and I am well known to the staff.
So, another nudist venue bites the dust. Sad to see.
Thanks

By the way, I thought I'd put a date on this of November 5, 2008 at 11am eastern time. I believe that the only nudist place in TN now is Rockhaven Lodge in Murfreesborough, TN.
Thanks
