How to get good nude photo?
I am single and have trouble taking a full body nude selfie to share here at TN and in groups.
They end up looking....INAPPROPRIATE- PORN-y
I have a few friends who might do it. Is that the best? have them use better camera? buy a better camera- with timer?
Thanks
I am sure I can get someone to take a pic and next event.BUT not sure WHEN ????
Yes any camera with a 10 sec delay on a tripod will do. Decide where you are going to stand (or sit) and aim the camera at the background. Photos can be edited by cropping later. Your pose will only be "pornographic" if you want it to be.
Pretty much any modern smartphone will have a camera that is more than good enough for the job.
Use the self timer set to around 10 seconds so you have time to get into position. Then forget about posing and try some relaxed positions, just sitting or standing doing something.
Taking a natural nude photo is no different than taking a clothed photo. Pose in clothes. Take some picks. If they look great take off your clothes and take the exact same pic. Smiling is the most difficult thing for most people to master. A great smile looks like you caught someone in mid laugh. What do people do when they laugh? They breath out of their mouths. If you taking a photo and you want that great smile. Look at the camera and fake laugh just as the shutter goes off. It will make your cheeks rise and your eyes will join your smile.
Just make the phone stand up against something and use the timer. Then it shouldn't be that difficult to take some ok photos. That's how I usually do. I have also used a stand, made for watching videos on the phone, bought in IKEA. It's cheap and works ok.
Hey I'm all for using the 10 second remote timer but you should buy tripod and a remote switch which only costs a few dollars, 7 to 12 dollars., You will get a much better picture. With the delay timer you have to go back to the camera to start each time but with the the remote switch you easily push the button and snap another picture. You can get several in a row without going back to the camera.
If you are in a questionable area you can get a bunch of pictures in a short time.
Later,
I took my profile photo with a tri-pod, and SLR (Single Lens Reflection) camera, and a remote shutter release, as well as using the cameras built in selfie delay (so that the remote wasnt in the photo. That was taken about 12 years ago. Most recently, I just use my smartphone with a travel holder (not much more than 2 clips and a flexible connector between them). I put the camera in the clip on one end, clip the other end to something in the environment, adjust the camera to point in the right direction and angle, then I do something that others tend to not remember or know. I can use my smart watch or my phone headset as a remote shutter release, so I set my phone to use the selfie delay mode and trigger it with the headset or my watch. That way I dont have to feel so rushed to get the photo I really want. It is handy for working outdoor photos because as someone else mentioned, you dont have to run back to the camera to trigger the next photo.
Using the headset works on most camera phones. You just use the play/pause button on the headset and it will trigger the shutter release in the camera app is the active/open app on your phone at the time. Many phones will also let you use the volume up/down buttons as a camera shutter release button too. Experiment with your phone and see.
When using your smartphone, do be aware that many of them have a setting to automatically backup your photo to the cloud which means it uploads it to a file location like your Google Drive, or your Apple iCloud, so if you are concerned about people seeing those that you dont want to see your nude photos, you need to make sure that is disabled or at least turned off while you are taking the photos. If you are really worried about those leaking you can make sure your phone is in airplane mode until you have moved the photos to a location where you want them and they are not going to be copied automatically by your phone...
