Walden by Henry David Thoreau
RE:Walden by Henry David Thoreau
After "Walden" I want to read "Walking". It is an essay he finished shortly before his death. Quote: "I wish to speak a word for Nature, for absolute freedom and wildness, as contrasted with a freedom and culture merely civil, to regard man as an inhabitant, or a part and parcel of Nature, rather than a member of society. Written 1862 one can observe that there is again a tendency there. Although in a toned-down and time-consuming form. I'm excited.
