quick-release changing kilt
This isn't really a kilt, but it's great for when you need to cover up quickly.
It's supposed to provide cover while you change between sports kit and normal day clothes, but it is also easy to carry and put on quickly if you need to cover up in a hurry.
I got mine in a sale, but the full price is a bit steep. Cheaper versions may be available online
I have two kilts which I modified for airport security - replacing the buckles with Velcro. I always fly in one of them. Being Velcro they are quick release.
I also have some mini-kilts on which I replaced the buckles with hooks-and-eyes. They are quick to put on and take off, ideal for a naked hike.
I also have a mini-kilt which I got on your recommendation. It's a ladies mini-skirt kilt. Unfortunately I have two problems with it.
1) it was tight when I bought it and during lock-down I've put on half a stone
2) I've lost it. I suspect that my wife has "put it somewhere safe"
I bought it because my wife insists that I cover up when I'm in the visible parts of my garden. This summer I had to keep putting shorts on/off which really annoyed me.
I have a utility kilt which I have worn when working in the front garden. Next year I will let my wife get used to this new kilt before pushing the boundaries with it

I get my kilts a bit on the large side. They have a wonderful way of "accidentally" falling off when I pull my tummy in!
