Just for curiositys sake...have you noticed any demographic pattern to the offenders? I would think relatively new members would be more likely to change but didnt know if it was accurate. That is quite possibly an over-generalization...but who knows. Dont need to throw the baby out with the bath water so to speak.
I haven't noticed any type of pattern. But I've gone on the idea that members were honest and disappointed when finding them not to be. I don't want those members in any of my groups. there are hundreds of other groups that don't care who joins them. Mine are not one of them.
I must agree with Miev. Even in the groups that I moderate, there is the same problem and I try to check out each applicant--as they are 'private' groups--yet some people will be deceiving. It is very sad that they must be that way.
