Christmas Beers

I just had a great beer from Blue Mountain Brewery called Snow Day. It's a spiced imperial stout that has flavors of cinnamon, vanilla, and chocolate. I loved every sip of it.

Does anyone else have a Christmas or Winter seasonal beer they would recommend?

Also, if you're on the phone app "untappd," message me your username so we can link up.

I can't remember if I've had Snow Day before but now I want it! I wonder if that's available in any of the local stores. Normally this time of year I'd be making a trip up to Charlottesville and could get it at the source. One cool spot that carries lots of seasonal beers right now is BottleBox in Ghent. I just did a journey of dark beers from there and really enjoyed it.

One of my favorite winter beers is Mad Elf by Troegs brewery in Hershey, Pa. Its a Belgian strong dark ale. With an ABV at 11% Im only good for like two in one sitting, but theyre so good.

Not sure if I've had the Blue Ridge one. Sounds good. My all time favorite Christmas Beer is the Great Lakes Brewery Christmas Ale. I can't get it where I am and too far to drive for it...though I have thought about doing a beer run and bringing down a bunch of it to us nudies in the South...Smokey and the Bandit style!...but I like to support the local breweries but most don't bother with a holiday type beer unfortunately.

Not sure if this is a seasonal beer, Christmas beer, or just got lucky to run across beer but I was at Trader Joe's picking up the annual Holiday Ale (I'll open it up on Christmas, had a 2016 two night ago, 2017 last night...you see where this is going) and run across a Ginger Beard Spiced Stout. It's 4.8% and 20 IBU so I think it will be an easy drinking one, it's brewed at Josephsbrau Brewing Company over in San Jose, CA. I'll be trying that tonight.
