Can You Go Barefoot For a Day?
Alright, everyone, mark your calendars for April 5th, 2011, (the
Tuesday after next). TOMS, a shoe company, is promoting One Day Without
Shoes, an awareness program about how much we take shoes for granted,
especially compared to those less-fortunate than us who are barefoot and
suspectable to such dieases 365 days a year.
Participating
in this event is pretty easy to figure out; just go barefoot the entire
day. At school? Barefoot. Work? Barefoot. In the gym? Barefoot.
Basically, wherever and whenever you can actually go barefoot to raise
awareness about TOMS' efforts. Events are being held all over the
world, so it wouldn't hurt to see any are happening near you.
And
what if you can't partake by ridding your shoes for the day? Well,
TOMS allows for other ways to spread awareness including pre-formated
lettering for banners, shirts, posters, fliers, signs, stickers,
stencils, and more! The point is to get the word out lol
So,
why not participate? Even as nudists, I'm sure the majority of us have
some footwear on, so we'll be learning a thing as well. TOMS itself
donates 1 pair of shoes for every pair bought through them, so it would
be a positive experience for all. So mark your calendars and let the
little piggies breathe for a day lol.

Alrighty peeps, the One Day Without Shoes event starts tomorrow. While there is nothing event-wise happening in my area, I plan to hand out flyers about the event at my campus. It shall be a fun, exciting day lol.
On weekends I spend most of my time barefoot. Work day tomorrow, BUT, will go barefoot as much as possible, as long as possible for this cause and will promote awareness.

There are many, many times during the year that I go barefoot and don't put anything on my feet for 2,3,4 days at a time. During those times, I'm also nude. I'm fortunate enough that I can be naked at home all the time and with that ... my feet are also naked during those times. I prefer not wear shoes but there are times when I must. My wife, on the other hand, won't go barefoot very often, even in the house. She most times has socks, slippers or flip flops on but on the occasion she is barefoot ... it's really nice. She has beautiful feet and they are very soft. But since I love going barefoot and we love rubbing our feet together while watching TV or sitting close to each other and in bed ... when she goes to get pedicures ... I go along too. Not ashamed to admit it. She likes my feet to be nice and I want them to be for her as well. I like the idea that I can slip off my shoes anytime and have nice looking feet and not be embarrassed to show them. ;-)
Do you know if it is on again for 2014. Not that i need an excuse, but would be happy to promote the day as i firmly believe in the health benefits.cheers

One Day Without Shoes is the annual day when we take off our shoes to raise global awareness for children's health and education. It will be April 28,2014

I am throughly confused as to when this event is to occur.
The first post says 5th April,
Other posts today that is tomorrow, when it will be the 29th of March.

Yes I am confused,But no matter, I am bare foot all the time in the house and as much as I can when outside
hahahaha ... these special "nude days" and this barefoot day don't really apply to us or to many, I suspect. If you're like us, we are naked almost all the time at home. If I'm naked, I'm barefoot so it's a good bet that even if I missed that day ... I was probably still participating without really knowing it. Same goes for Naked Gardening Day ... if I'm home ... I'm naked. If I doing anything inside or outside, like gardening ... I'm naked ... so even if I forgot it was Naked Gardening Day ... I was probably naked anyway ... whether or not I did any gardening that day is questionable.
