I've always used a razor but would like to try getting waxed. Is it very painful?
Just accept that there will be some pain and relax. Pain is your body reacting to imminent danger, but since there is none you just need to relax and enjoy all of the sensations. For me it makes me feel very present. I love the smooth feeling though. More so than shaving. Also, the last time I shaved I got some bad ingrown hairs that got infected. I'm one week out from waxing and I feel fantastic. Going back to the same guy in a few weeks to "get all of the hair on the same cycle" as he put it.
