There's a term limit available each and every election. Just because the majority believes a representative deserves another term does not mean the minority should be able to subvert that election with a law saying that person can't serve again.
True statement but its well known that if a representative hasnt adversely affected a voters life and an election comes up that representative is more likely to be voted for. Uninformed voters will vote for a name they recognize and dont want to upset the apple cart or reduce their districts influence by bringing in a junior representative.
The real problem is voters not taking the time to become fully informed and look at multiple sources of information.
Sorry this topic totally slipped my mind and dont remember being notified of responses.
A great discussion with many great points being brought up. Im a proponent of term limits, but moreso am a proponent of the people being the arbitrators of their govt first and foremost. Becoming educated of our structure of govt and the original intent of the founders is far more productive.
