Mastercard compliance and Media uploads
Fellow users, as of October 15th, Mastercard will enact new regulations that will affect the content sharing policies on the website. This will only apply to uploading media, and webcam broadcasting. All other facets of the site remain unchanged. This is not a change we desired, but MasterCard represents about 50% of our sales, and we must comply if we want to keep the lights on and the servers chugging away.
The basic overview is that
If you would like to upload nude content you must verify that you are of legal age by completing our certification process.
You must only upload content of which you are the legal copyright holder or have permission to do so
Although we understand the privacy implications of this, we are dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of your personal information, as we always do.
Due to the nature of this lifestyle, and the implications to some, we began the site with privacy being paramount. Unlike other major social media sites :
We do not sell ANY user data users to ANYONE.
We allow users to adjust their privacy settings to their degree of anonymity.
We do not cater ads, track you or analyze your usage for marketing.
This is how we have continued to grow year after year.
We're working to make this as painless as possible and we appreciate your patience as we work out some kinks. Please don't direct your frustrations at the already overworked volunteers that work day and night to keep this a safe and nurturing community. Please direct those frustrations at the credit card companies and your government representatives.
Thank you again for making this the great community that it is.

Sorry but I don't understand this post. How can Mastercard influence this website? Is Mastercard in any way involved in this website?
There has been a trend recently in companies like Visa, MasterCard and other banking institutions distancing themselves from undesirable websites and services by withdrawing payment services from them. This has largely impacted the internet porn industry but some other platforms have got caught up in it.
I assume that this is that movement creeping out. And while not directly meaning they believe naturism equates to pornography they want platforms that provide services to to be able to demonstrate that they provide adequate safeguarding measures to stop the platform being used for illegitimate purposes.
On a slightly different note it would be good to have a statement from TT on GDPR compliance for those of us in the EU/UK. How they handle /protect our data. How they guarantee they delete all our data and media should we leave the site or delete images. And that means genuine/secure deletion off all servers. Not just removing the links but leaving the file on the server.
Great that you're finally taking action to make sure there are TRUE nudists on this site. So i understand this will also be the opportunity to finally get rid of all the many very obvious fake accounts on this site?I get the feeling that you're bummed out by the fact that you have to make sure that there arent any minors on this site. Isnt that a basic service that you should provide in the first place?I see that you're mentioning the 18+ check and cookies notification in one banner. These are sepperate things people should agree with. Also you're supposed to provide the possibility to adjust cookie preferences. For example i dont mind functionality cookies, but i do dissagree about google analytics cookies. Its a basic service you should profide if you want to build trust with your website visitors.
I think you are assuming too much. The current steps are nothing do with, and will do nothing to achieve, limiting this site to true nudists. They have done the bare minimum to keep the relevant people quiet and in side. After all clicking a button to say you are 18 is hardly a meaningful check.
And apart from this there is the whole GDPR legislation in areas outside the US that they ought to be complying with but seem to be ignoring.
As for needing to be certified to broadcast a camera in the chat room. It would be far more useful to restrict viewing if cams to certified users.
..........I wonder if this will apply to existing members, I know of one man who has at least 7 other accounts all with fake profile pics.
Sounds like something Strandjunge59 would do. Always stalking and criticizing others and yet never cleans up his own act. The site should just get rid of him and his many alternate profiles and there would be instant improvement here.
If people are so worried about the data mining and tracking element if they recent changes then do 2 things.
1) Use your browser in private browsing mode. Then no cookies etc will be left in your tablet/computer.
2) connect via a vpn. Plenty of reputable/cheap ones out there that will mask your location/ip address etc.
Alternatively close your account and drop off the site.
My suspicion with the message about cookies is that the only change is that they are now declaring, because they have been made to, what they have been doing for quite sometime. There are too few paying members on this site for them to earn enough money to keep it going otherwise.
