It just needs more lubrication and longer foreplay. The girth can be problematic sometimes but most men are average I would say.

I have no issues now really but growing up nudist, as a kid and teen I found it embarrassing to be stared at. I still do, but at this point I am not bothered by it.
From a practical point of view, you have to find clothes that are comfortable for you skinny tight jeans.. no way.
