Regardless of the hygiene issues, they have nothing in common with nudism and does not make you closer to being a nudist, if you think it does you dont understand nudism.

Did you ever consider unlined shorts that can be worn everywhere? I wear shorts essentially everywhere in warm weather. None of them have linings because I find linings too constricting.
Even my unlined shorts, which are pretty much see thru make me hot within about 5 minutes. I wear those when someone comes over or I go to the store down the hill, or when I drive to town to pick up groceries and don't need to get out of the car. The only pool I swim in is mine and the rest is in rivers lakes or ocean and then don't need anything.

Do you drive nude and put your shorts on at your destination and take them off before driving home?
