I actually trim mine really nice because a bush is too much with running feel more clean and better this way. I got it waxed in December but it grows back anyway so i like it in between no bush minimal hair and trimmed nicely works great with running!

Ya know, everyone has their own preferences. When giving head, I love getting a mouth full of hair. But I totally get that other people feel differently.
I am totally smooth, except for my head, and have been for a number of years. I do it because I like the look and feel. I started by just shaving, but the maintenance became a hassle. Tried waxing next, but suffered badly from ingrown hairs, and you had to let it grow back to a certain length before it could re-waxed. So I eventually used an IPL to rid my body of hair, and now it takes just a quick shave once a week to keep it totally smooth, and no stubble or ingrown hair problem. Love it, and I've had many comments on how good it looks. Each to their own. :-)

It was relevant only because people offered that as a reason in favor of being smooth. I think it can also be used as a reason to not be smooth. That was the point I was trying to make. I didn't intend to be off-topic.

In the context that this site is a NUDIST site, that info is not relevant. While it is a reason, it wasn't relevant to the discussion at all. It would be as if you were in a room and everyone was discussing say Stephen King book and you contributed to the discussion by letting everyone know that you once met a guy name Stephen King and you two had sex. It is a reaction I am sure everyone is thinking, "ummm ooooooh kay. It is necessary to tell us this because.....?"
I have thought about shaving, but I am pretty hairy all over. My wife thought it would look really weird, odd, if I did shave. I trimmed really close one time and she didn't like it. I will continue to trim fairly close, but not so close that it causes issues when we make love. I have trimmed to where it has hurt her with the prickliness of my hair, so I need to keep it long enough to make sure it doesn't cause an issue for sex with her.
I definitely saw a difference when I trimmed in how I looked. I am definitely a grower, not a shower, do anything I can do to help my length while flaccid is good for me. Trimming does that well.
