Hello to all our new members!
This group has grown quickly! Welcome to those who have joined more recently, please feel free to introduce yourself. Maybe you'd like to share when you first realised you were a nudist or how a bit about how nudism is a part of your identity. It's also interesting thinking about who you share you nudity with and why we keep it a secret. I'm very open now about being a nudist in some ways and private about it in other ways, I think for me, it is less about hiding this aspect of my identity and more about concern for the other person, as we all know very well, not everyone is comfortable with our nudity!
This is a good question about nudity and identity something I will be writing about on my blog for black history month. Many have developed a single issue approach to nudism and less so naturism. That is nakedness. They define their identity through their nakedness but who among us has only one identity. I like what Audre Lorde saysThere is no thing as a single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives. Audre Lorde
I bring all of my many identities into the nudist/ naturist space not only my nakedness.
I think many of us have two areas of existence, clothed and nudist, at least it is for me. My clothed world is where most of my time is spent, and it has many good points. My nudist world is limited, but especially equally important. I find being nude lets me express myself in another way.
I live alone in a rural area with no neighbors so most of my time is spent nude, inside and out. I made the decision to live a truly open, nudist lifestyle 24/7. I feel the human body is beautiful so why hide it? So whether I'm taking a shower, using the toilet or even making love, anyone is welcome to watch.
