2016 Ford Fiesta transmission problems

Hello group! A fellow member has transmission problems with his power shift. Ford refuses to fix the issue even though there has been a class action lawsuit brought up against them. Ford lost and had to pay out. Unfortunately our fellow member was not aware and did not partake. Now, he needs a new transmission as a rebuild is not possible and he cannot, nor should pay out of pocket. Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone help or offer solutions 2011 - 2016 Ford Fiesta and Ford Focus. Thank you

My only solution was not to go near them, but someone is left holding the problem when the music stops. It may be at the point where the repair is not financially viable.
