Deep creek
Went to deep creek near Hesperia, ca, Saturday. From bowen ranch ($5 per person day use) my choice as a starting point, it is 2 miles into the valley where the hot springs are. There is an elevation change of 978 feet down. Most in the last 1/2 mile or so. Great day.
There are 5 active pool of varying temperatures next to the river. Some pools can be stood in and not touch bottom. The river has a good pool area for swimming. There are some warm vents in two places to offset some cool water. A mixed crowd of varying states of undress from full dress to none.
I have been doing better on my returns upwards and out. For most it takes about an hour and a half. Me, I am down to two hours. Steady improvement on each trip, yea. And if desired, like my friends and me, you can hike nude from the parking area to the springs and back.
Depending on how you drive this can be a truly nude day except for the fee drop. Enjoy

I haven't been to Deep Creek for many years due in part to my discovery of De Anza Springs which takes about half the time to get to from my home in Imperial Beach.
I started going in the mid eighties and this was my first real nude hiking experience. Nervous at first and carrying my shorts in my hand I eventually stuffed them in my pack after several positive encounters on the trail. There are many blind curves on the trail so I had some surprize encounters .
I started driving in nude once off the pavement on the ranch road. Alot of times no one was in the shack when I paid. The first time I drove in nude a young woman was in the shack and the owner was standing behind her. I didn't see them until I walked up to pay. Got a thumbs up from both of them.
