I expect that any issues are at the hosting end. In internet terms, this site is pretty old and must be fragile to maintain. My insight into the perils of blog maintenance, limited as it is, makes me think it would be hard to maintain the system, let alone contemplate moving it to another platform.

That's what other people have said, that it simply has not been maintained or updated since its original launch.
