MI kayaking meetup

Now I have two kayaks wondering if there are folks in MI who want to meet up for group kayaking before the summer is over. Gotta put the things to use.

I just saw your post. I live in West Michigan but travel quite a bit all year to kayak. Going out today actually with a nudist friend, although we won't have a chance to paddle naked. . Summer is coming so is kayak season. . Maybe we came meet somewhere this summer. I do know of a few rivers here that are secluded enough that I have kayaked naked before.

i live in Southwest Lower and have plenty of small rivers here that i kayak on naked at least twice a week in the summer....usually i go out during the week to avoid all the craziness of the weekend people. i take a trash bag with me and pick up what they lose from their trips....doing my best to keep things clean and natural out there.

How do you go with paddling upstream? I wouldn't mind trying locally, but I'm not sure I'd last trying to go up and back!

As long as you start out going upstream you can always stop when you get tired then turn around and drift back to where you put in.
