RE: Finding out who your fellow nudists are!

Mention that you go to Sandy Hook, not mentioning Gunnison Beach. Although Sandy Hook also has several textile beaches, other people in New Jersey associate Sandy Hook with a nude beach.

RE: Finding out who your fellow nudists are!

I usually start off by seeing if anyone would be okay if I go nude. From there, I could ease them into it.

I had one very lucky break last December, though. A friend of mine rented a hot tub for a week and I was quickly on board. She then asked if I was okay with nudism since there would be others who'd be naked there. I automatically said "____, I'm a nudist too! :D". I was so happy that one of my closest friends and her group of friends were nudists. :D

I spotted a vehicle at a local store that had a parking permit from a well known nudist resort hanging from the rear view mirror. Had the owner of the vehicle showed up while I was there, I would have said somethig to them about it. By the way, the tag had only the name of the resort and not any drawings of nude people like some tags have.

In the summer when it's hot we just mention that we love to skinny dip in our private pool and we love company. It is usually only said to people who we feel comfortable to be around. We have also found that a lot of people will skinny dip with us and then sit around nude and chatbut will not go to a nudists beach or resort with us.

I have put an invitation in my facebook status asking if any one wanted to go to the nudist beach with me! That was obviously a not so subtle way of doing it, I didn't get a response.

How about changing that to a clothing-optional beach?! - sounds less threatening

I agree with that

Putting letters like a bumper sticker on the car has had some reactions. Like NF and when asked what it means can either be Naked friends or Never

forget or both.

I put the PICTURES on my Facebook page. I DID get a response, from Facebook. (And no, they didn't say they wanted to join me.)

I've said this before on previous posts. Start talking about your bucket list and say you are adding "visiting a nude beach" or "visiting a nudist resort" and see what reaction you get.
Forgive me for going off topic a bit. Mention of 'bucket list' reminds me of earlier this year when I visited my local club for the first time. It was to be a check mark on my bucket list. Been there done that. I anticipated being there no more than an hour, figured I'd get bored. 4 hours later I regrettfully left knowing I was late for an appointment. Been hooked ever since.
Careful what you put on your bucket list, you may end up changing your life outlook, which I suppose is the whole point :-)
