So much whataboutism instead of responding to the point - But what about this what about that? Yep all that is true but focus on the actual point being made instead of deflecting to a something else that serves your agenda. Classic move to avoid dealing with real issues.
Nudism is a belief that our bodies are natural. What we choose to do with our bodies is our business.Problem with the argument made which is one of the most reasonable Ive seen on here, is the definition of nudism. That is your definition it isnt mine and may not be others so the application of that definition to bolster your argument is problematic.Everyone has a different definition of nudism those days so focusing on behavior what behavior is acceptable and what it not has become the only viable approach IMO despite the libertine libertarian ideal you espouse. Otherwise following the logic I can do what every I want with my body even if in doing so I cause harm to others.Very thoughtful post regardless
My answer to this is the same as I always make to this topic as it morphs from thread to thread, which is that you don't need to define nudism. You need to define what the context of that nudism will be in any given space and from the context, what the group norms are. That allows for more people with varying perspectives to meet comfortably in shared space without compromising values, interests and safety.

Interesting take and particularly relevant in a time when any kind of nudity is defined as nudism.
When can you say "it is always the women that have that kind of ..." without being called sexist? How is it different with men? If nudist venues have problems with problematic behaviors, why don't they address them (such as with codes of conduct)? If people are likely to intimidate others for being heavy or tall, should they ban them too?Sexual abuse by women is more frequent than many perceive as per this article: https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/sexual-victimization-by-women-is-more-common-than-previously-known/
Codes of conduct?
You know exactly the kind of conduct we are talking about and every nudist club or any other type of club has them. We know them as good manners.
A lot of sexual abuse goes unreported, thats mainly against women too.

Exactly well said every nudist club has codes of conduct. Even the lifestyle places have a codes of conduct what is a issue is those who ignore or flaunt those codes of conduct and then play the victim when their behavior is challenged.
my fundamental confusion is how many solo males are out there, how few seem to know there are rules or pricing structures that curb solo male attendance, and then want to complain about all the rest of the misfortunes they are heaped with (not all are like this, many are not, but you know exactly what I mean). I have had a few repeat ad infinitum that it was their right and "this that the other" should be done, but it's not. The private club makes its own rules, caters to members and that's what they are for, not everyone's feels about why they should indulge rule bending or breaking otherwise.
Sadly you are correct on both counts some single guys ignore the rules and guidelines of private organizations and then complain when they lose the privilege of being there.
On the other hand it is unfortunate that some clubs establish stringent rules and quotas in response to inappropriate behavior. As someone sayid the many pay for the deeds of a few.
My club has no restrictions of single men or women and no sexual orientation restrictions either. But inappropriate behavior if observed or reported will get you removed from the property banned if warranted.
Ive been in social nudist settings thousands of times and no one ever pointed out the terms and conditions,. If you need a pamphlet to let you know how you should behave is it any surprise you were barred from the nudist club.
I don't need any pamphlet but would welcome communication on what behaviors are expected at a venue if it offered me an opportunity to visit. I was never barred from a nudist club related to any behavior or pamphlet. I was unwelcomed from even considering visiting for being a male, as were my kids, without a female escort, as per firm policies.
Perhaps you'd understand better if, after visiting resorts thousands of times, you lost your female escort and became a person non grata. It stings especially since it impacted my kids at an age when they were so young and innocent and I wanted them to experience the sense that nude is natural and an idea shared by many.
The thrust of my comment is that rules make the place a pleasure to visit, or not, given the rules in place. For most of us, it isn't feasible to start our own nudist resort, so at times we do conform to things with which we may not fully agree. Those rules have come into being through experience and with time. When one visits Rome, ye do as do the Romans! But leave your toga at home unless the weather's looking iffy.
I'd welcome the kind of resort you mention, but the ones I've encountered don't offer rules or codes of conducts, just policies that discriminate. Maybe I just live in an all too Puritanical part of the world in the US Midwest.
Andy, Ive mentioned elsewhere that in two weeks time we will be sitting on a sun terrace in a naturist village in Spain, itll be our eleventh visit to this area and we will know many people there from previous visits. But Lorna and I are not tether at the hip, we do spend some time apart.
I often take long naked walks along the coast where the people I pass must assume Im a lone male, Ive never had a problem with other naturists on those occasions because I know the etiquette.
Other times Ill pop into one of the bars for a pint on my own, sometime Ill have conversations with other naturist, sometimes I wont. Ill always get the vibe off the people want to talk or be left in peace. Non of this is written down anywhere, its just good behaviour and good manners.
I admit Ive never tried to visit a club (we have non local) as a solo male so I cant speak to that. If ever I was to try, Id research first and ask what their policy was. If they dont want me they wont get me.
Id not bitch about a club that wouldnt have me a a member.
