Whats a retired nudist to do?

Not to bore you to death, I have entered official retirement. The wife said it was time to come home - and stay. I had to agree with her. The company was undergoing some major personnel changes, yet another new computer system, new operations manual, inventory and an upcoming physical move. I had really planned to stay another 18 months or so but when the final word on the above came out- it wasnt going to be worth the headache. It was time to punch out. For the past two, formerly, workdays, I have cleaned house, cooked, washed dishes, trimmed bushes, gathered trash, mowed the yard and worked on the drainage system. I almost need to go back to work for a break! How have you prior retired nudists kept yourself productively occupied while not falling out as you complete projects around the house? Please excuse me if this was too much explanation.

I retired 3 yrs ago. Like you ,yard work helping the wife around thehouse. Doing things with her. Erands shopping etc. Being a nudist is also a big + I belong to a nudist resort and spend3or 4 days a week there. Can be naked on our patio soI relax and get a all over tan , grill and so forth. After a couple days of rain I do get bored but alway's say it beats working!

I retired during Covid
Started with fixing the 100 year old house up and put it up for sale.
Moving stuff to a storage unit in the future town we planned to move to.
Hip replacement !
Sold and bought newer home. Went from 1500 sq ft to 3000 sq ft and a 900 sq ft work shop basement. Ahhh heaven.
Now working on the 50 year old home.
But I am naked every day ! Doing what I love. Not dealing with idiots ! Starting to learn the new area and met other nudists in southern Arizona.

Oh retirement is a lot of fun work. Plan on working on my tan again soon. Perfect spot already picked out. lol

John, welcome to retirement. The key is to pace yourself. There are the daily things, dishes etc.. Then pick one project to do or start. Then pick up a good book and relax some. You are used to being on the go all the time, step back, relax.

John, first ... Congratulations on your retirement!!

Your reasons are very similar to my wife's reasons for leaving earlier than she wanted. For me, it became more and more apparent that my career was a younger mans job and I just needed to hang up my turnout coat and boots.

I got some really good advice just before I pulled the plug. I've been retired 14 years as of December 31st. I was told NOT to make any decisions on going back to work, working for my previous employer or deciding on anything major with regards to work, for an entire year. Best advice I could have gotten.

My previous employer wanted me to come back to work and become a Recruit firefighter training Captain. The drive from home to the training center would have done it for me, about 50 miles one way, every day. I held them off for a year and after a year, I decided it wasn't for me. Going back to work, even part time, was not an option, as far as I was concerned. One reason was that I had plenty to keep me busy here at home and I didn't have to wear clothes while doing 99% of it.

I did whatever I felt like doing for that first year. I went to the smoke shop and had cigars with new friends. I visited the club, the nude beach, painted the interior of our house. Made some wine bottle lamps, tiki torches, did a ton of reorganizing of my tool shed, garage and storage sheds. I did spend a fair amount of time laying out in the sun and keeping up on the all over tan. I watched 3 of the youngest grandkids one day a week.

To say, I had more time off while I was working than when I was retired is an understatement! After my first year of retirement was over, I realized that I really enjoyed being retired and having total control over my time. I could say yes to things and no to others. My wife retired 5 years after I did and I gotta be honest, her retiring really cramped my style! LOL We adjusted and really, really enjoy both being retired and spending all this time together. We keep busy with normal stuff, travel and go to HS sports events for our grandkids. We spend all our time at home naked and for the last few days, we've been purging our closets, kitchen cabinets and this weekend we'll work on the garage ... all while naked. That's something we couldn't do if we were still working! ;-D
