RE: Swinging and TN

Quote: I think a lot of people are missing what I am getting at. This thread was started because of another thread where someone got really upset with a person in the chat, discussing Swinging with another swinger, apparently. This led me to question whether or not we had the right to challenge swingers. Cleary, we have seen from NudeInMa, that we do. That is the first point"

Response: It is unclear whether we have the right to challenge swingers. I was booted from chat for saying, "This is a nudist site not a swinger site. Itis just as wrong for women and couple profiles tomake sexual advances on othersas for men." Since swingers scare away some genuine nudists it seems to me this site should have a policy against allow swingers to solicit people.

Quote "The second question that I have, even if someone is discussing swinging, but it is not sexually explicit, should that be permissable? It would be nice to get a consensus on this, but I don't see the liklihood of that happening."

Response: Create a poll question and ask people to answer it if you simply seek opinions on that. My own personal opinion is that swinging is by definition sexual. If you want to meet only swingers and not people who enjoy only platonic nudism then I think that such peopel should find a swinger club or swinger website. If they arewant people to hang out platonically and do swinging eslewhere with others then who cares, it need not even be brought up. Basically the only reason to tell people you are a swinger is to either discussyour escapades or to try to see if others are into ittoo thus trolling for other swingers.
quote: "Ultimately though, I hope we can deal with this issue in a civil manor. If the person becomes difficult, then flag and leave it to administration. Thanks for your participation."

Response: A clear rule from those who review flaggings on whether we shouldflag swingers or not would be nice.

The quote feature on here is killing me. I cannot get it to work right so please excuse the fact that some of my responses are in gray instead of white like they should be.

The only workable policywould bea don't ask don't tell type of policy. If a swinger and you disclose in orderto either brag about past encoutners or try to arrange sexual encounters thoseshould beviolations which can get you booted both from chat andfrom the site.If a swingerand ALSO a genuine nudist who enjoys platonic nudism then I see no problem with them being here so long as they keep quiet about their swingingonly chat about nudism/ seek platonic nudist encounters. That way they will not scare anyone away from this site who is genuinely interested in nudism. The name true nudists seems to have an intended purposewhichis defeated by swingers looking for sexual encounters.

seriously, this is not the place for swingers, this is the place for honest hardworking people that don't wear clothes to come together. Don't fuck it up with stupid "weenie waggers"
And I'm not sure it's a place for bigots who stereotype groups of people based on limited knowledge simply because they don't agree with them. I am not a swinger, and don't necessarily agree with the lifestyle, but TO EACH HIS OWN. The terms "Nudist" and "Swinger" are in no way MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE.

Here's my take on the subject, for what it's worth. While there are people opposed to socialnudity for other reasons, most who oppose it do so because they believe it to bean inherently sexual activity. Forthis reason, the owner of this website has asked that we all refrain from posting anything that could seem like sex and nudity are being deliberately confused.

That said, the policy so far (as far I can tell) has been to ban or otherwise act against people who try to create sexually oriented groups, post photos that are clearly meant to arouseor write in a way that could beconsidered reminiscent of sexualactivity or experience. So far, no action has ever been taken against people who simply declare their orientation, preference or lifestyle. It may be a thin line, but I think that line is worth keeping.

Not that long ago, I saw a profile where a member said something along the lines of "My partner and I are swingers, but we recognise the difference between nudism and swinging, and act accordingly." I find this acceptable. What I wouldn't find acceptable is something along the lines of, "We'realways looking for new friends to swing with." That would clearly be a violation.

Granted, if a declared swinger says, "We're always looking for new friends," and left it at that, we could assume there was an implicit invitation. But that might be assuming a littletoo much. Perhaps s/he already has all the swing friends s/he needs and would like to add a few platonic friends, especially a doctor for medical advice, a lawyer for legal issues, an accountant for tax time, a babysitter for the kids, a speechwriter for the next election, etc.

As a website, we don't (or shouldn't) promote swinging. But that doesn't mean we can't have swingers. My two cents' worth...
