Korean Spa at Twin Rivers

I recently found out there is a Korean Spa in the hotel at Twin Rivers. Has anyone been?

It appears the Spa has changed it requirements for bathing suits required to clothing optional in the men's area (you still have to wear their provided clothing in the co-ed areas). They are running a summer special day pass for $70 weekdays or $15 if you book a treatment. I'd like to try the place but don't want to go alone. Anyone interested? I'm also thinking about getting the body scrub.

Hi Tos,

I went last night and was the only male in the wet area. As you note the sauna areas are coed and require at least a bathing suit. The wet areas nudity is permitted. Honestly I dont see how you could enjoy the wet area with any form of clothing.

I got there a little after 7 and stayed till 930. The facility is immaculate. Spa treatments typically end around 615 PM. The male who performs the body scrubs isnt there either on Tuesday or Wednesday so you would not be able to book the body scrub on either of those days. The body scrub is performed behind a barrier in the wet area.

Let me know if you need anymore info. The price you mentioned is what I paid, $70.

I'm returning to RI for the Thanksgiving holidays. I hope to visit sometime between the November 19th and the beginning of December. Let me know if you would like to join me.

Finally going tomorrow (Sunday, 12/29) with a friend. Couldn't schedule the body scrub as they were booked.

I did go last Sunday. Since it was the holidays, there were a lot of couples who had given each other a spa day. The facility isn't too bad but I don't think it's worth $90. There is a $25 discount if you purchase a treatment (my friend purchased a lower back massage). The men's area has a cold plunge, medium temp (96) pool, hot (104) pool and steam room. The medium pool also had a forceful water stream to massage your back. Only half of the jets in the hot pool were working. The timer for the hot pool is located behind the screen where the body scrubs are performed which made it difficult to reach. Most of the guys went nude in the wet areas. A few guys came in with swimsuits but removed them when they saw most were naked. You walk through the dining area to get to the saunas. Most of the items on the menu were either fried or contain salt. The saunas are a cold room (40), mild (100), med (120) and hot (180). We would hit the cold room between each of the other rooms. On our way back to the locker room, we visited the relaxation room. It had about 10 massage chairs that you could use the pre-programmed patterns for 15 minutes. Water was available in the locker room, sauna area and condiment bar.

There was signage about no phones all throughout the facility but there were a lot of phones in use. Even saw a few guys using them in the pools or steam room. Two young ladies were watching vids in the dining room without any ear buds. When I told the desk as we checked out, there response was sorry about that. My total was $100.80 (I had purchased a smoothie).
