Yoga Combinations and Permutations
The yoga sutras (ancient texts) say there are 80,000 poses in one text and 80 million in another. Regardless, there are many poses so we don't have to repeat the same shapes over and over. And there are many variations within each of those poses. You can also change drishti (focal point), chakras, pranayama (breath), and even setting. For instance, a balance pose in a yoga studio feels completely different when you are near moving water or trees because it throws off your balance. Even more, you could balance on a block, a tree stump, or maybe a majestic rock overlooking a mountain vista. All of this changes the experience of yoga. You can do it in a hot studio or outside in the heat, in the cold, in water, or maybe naked. All of these are useful for our growth.
