Nude 4070, I can fully appreciate your story as I was a delivery driver in the late 60's and had that same experience on occasion. I had even seen signs in the window regarding the homeowners possible nudity.

I have a cutesy sign by my front door that used to read " if you are not barefoot you are over dressed" it reads much much better with the word " foot " covered up.
