RE:Separating social nudity from sexual nudity

Nudity = nakedness or not being clothed. Nudism despite what many think on this site and else involves a specific philosophy of social interaction in nonsexual contexts, that respects others and moderates the gaze and also includes social nudity.

What is the difference?

Taking a crap and peeing are biological functions as well but doing them in a public space where it is not designated is shocking. Your metaphor needs work.
Biological phenomena are not designed to shock anyone. People mistakenly think that when a nudist guy is having an erection, it is about THEM.

Wearing clothes are a choice. Nudity, as you have mentioned is not a choice. It is who we are.Biological phenomena are not designed to shock anyone. People mistakenly think that when a nudist guy is having an erection, it is about THEM.We go on nude cruises where there are literally thousands of nudists walking around the ship and some of the private island stops and yet no erections. We go to large social nudist events at the big resorts where there are literally hundreds of nudists walking around grounds and yet no erections... almost like social nudist men don't get erections at inappropriate times in inappropriate locations.

Real nudists, real life, social nudists, real life nudists and social nudists that actually live the life, visit clubs, resorts, beaches and other venues with other nudists, know this. Way too many internet nudists, website nudists, like many here, don't know and can't comprehend that what you describe is what we real nudists/social nudists, witness and have experienced from real life experiences in the lifestyle. Too many of these threads and topics go off on the skewed, misinformed, misconceptions of those that only "practice" nudism from behind a keyboard and computer screen.

I have occasionally seen a man with an erections at Gunnison. Is there a reason why this happens at a beach and not at a club or on a cruise?

You are on point with this but the problem is most of the people pushing the erection acceptance theory like the commenter you replied to have not had the genuine nudist experiences you describe. They use nudism to justify their own interest and sexual proclivities, and then project this self interest on those who are trying to protect what little opportunities for non sexual social nudism we have left.

Of course it is about US. Those of use who want to practice nonsexual social nudism, are losing that opportunity because people who are only into nudity as a precursor to sex are reinforcing the stigma that already exists and making it hard to just be clothes free without have to worry about someone pursuing cheap thrills at our cost.

Nudists are prudes we just have enough emotional and psychological maturity to control our bodies, behavior and gaze. Something that cannot be said for many of the Internet nudity proponents.

Possibly seeing you in your short shorts was too much for him.

I apologise, that was just a bit of fun. Ive never seen a guy on a beach with an erection either, not saying that it never happens, but with the amount of made up nonsense you post, its difficult to believe a word.

I certainly wasn't wearing shorts when he saw me!
When I go to Gunnison, I leave the car wearing short shorts or a swim brief but I take it off as soon as I am out of sight of the road and remain nude until I get back to the same point when leaving.
Actually he and his girlfriend or wife were running toward the dunes when I saw them.
