RE: Arkansas

Hi, welcomr to TN :)

The first thing you need to do is get some content on your profile, you will NOT be well received, anywhere on this site, least of all in the chat with a blank profile. Doesn't have to be your life story, just something that at least gives the impression that you ARE interested in naturism, and not just here to perv.

There is now a lot of info here on the forums,

go here to learn your way around and get up to speed.
It's well worth investing a little time in learning how the site works,
in order to get the best out of it.

WELCOME! ..... to TN :) :) :) .....START HERE!

Section 5-68-204. You may not be nude in
Arkansas in the presence of any person of the opposite sex who is not your
spouse

It shall be unlawfull for any person, club, camp, corporation,
partnership, association, or organization to advocate, demonstrate, or promote
nudism, or for any person to rent, lease, or otherwise permit his land,
premises, or buildings to be used for the purpose of advocating, demonstrating,
or promoting nudism.

RE: Arkansas VS Kansas

"Arkansas" was a French namefor a river, created by adding "Arc" to the French version of the name of an Indian tribein the region.
The French dominated the lower Mississippi in the years preceding the Louisiana Purchase, and their influence continued not only in Louisianabut in nearby Arkansas. This included French place names and retaining the French pronunciation of the river (and so the state).
The territory of "Kansas" --based the same French from Indian name-- did not have the same sort of French influence. When it was settled years later by Americans, the name was quickly Anglicized to the form we know today. (Kansans also pronounce the RIVER name as "Ar-KAN-zus".)

Arkansas, on the other hand, was determined that the pronunciation of their state name would NOT be changed, and even passed a law to that effect!

I do not see why the AANR is not all over this law. If they really wanted to they can have the law thrown out just on basis it is not enforced. First part of the law is you cannot be naked in front of anyone who is not your wife, and unless they arrest and charge everyone who has premartial sex then this is a law not enforced and activity is over looked. The lawyers can also argue that this law is outdated by the first part of the law.
Yeah this law is very old and outdated and not enforced at all. The swinger community have figured this out a long time ago and thrive here with hotel parties and house parties all the time that consist not only of nudity but with sexual activity also. So if the nudist community really wanted to they could have resorts and clubs in Arkansas.
