Lake Edun Kansas vs Sandy Lane Kansas
So had to go to Kansas for a 2 week business trip, decided to spend the weekend visiting a nudist resort in the area, Sandy Lane was closer but because I am married they would not let me come alone, sometimes I just do not understand how nudist who stand for freedom can become so high and mighty and hipocritical.
Lake Edun on the other hand, accepted me with open arms, and I had a wonderful couple of days, nice lake to swim in, lots of trails to walk around, great people who made me feel very welcome, and made some new nudist friends which to me is what it is all about.
Shame on some clubs who have no respect for others and implement rules which isolate people, and hats off to the great people of Lake Edun, thanks for a great weekend and given the chance would return in a heartbeat.
Like you, I've been in Kansas on business, without my wife accompaning me. I sent an e-mail to Sandy Lane and was refused for the same reason. I pleaded my case to the individual who referred my request to the board. They also refused my request, telling me they would dbe haappy to have me and my wife attend. If I'mm not welcome on my own, I certainly will not be attending with my wife; I'll spend my time and money else where. Lake Edun sounds likea place I'd like to visit.
I think the major difference between the 2 resorts is the affiliation, Lake Edun is not an AANR (American association of Nudist Restrictions) resort. Like you if I am not welcome, why would I consider bringing my wife, what difference does this make, I am only human if I bring my wife? On the other hand, I can not stress this enough how friendly and welcoming the host, and the visitors to Lake Edun were. If you are looking for a fancy resort ... this is not it, just a nice lake with a couople of beaches, and some sunning chairs. But peaceful, beautiful, and well kept.
The interesting thing is that had I said I was single, or lied to them they said they would have let me visit. Great nudist community built on deception. I think these places are a hinderance to furtherance of nudism, they automatically group people and assume that one bad apple means all are bad. I met a guy at Lake Edun who practices nudism at home, and his says his wife and friends accept that is what he enjoys. His wife does not wish to participate outside of the hot tub, so unfortunately he would be rejected at this type of venue. It is almost like this resort assumes all married men that leave the house without their spouse are on the hunt and are preditors of some sort, quite shameful really.
