Lights in the jacuzzi?
Does anyone have on with lights installed below the waterline? Are there any preferences for their use?
On a recent holiday I tried a jacuzzi and pool at the resort which my relative was staying at. The jacuzzi was not illuminated but the pool was and when I later webt in it I was surprised how effective it was, especially with me wearing a fluorescent yellow swimsuit. :-) Absolutely no secrets as to what's beneath the water for other pool users and guests passing on the pathway alongside. Any thoughts of slipping off the suit beneath the water were immediately banished in the circumstances but I think the effect would be quite marvelous in more-permissive circumstances!
Our jacuzzi is equipped with underwater LED lighting with a selectible palette of several hues. When using the lights, I almost always choose the dark red color: enough light to provide some visual interest with minimal impairment to night vision. (Enjoying the night sky is definitely part of the pleasure of late night hot tubbing.)
Well, our new hot tub does have underwater lights.
I was going through the pallet of colors. I noticed the blue and green were really bright. Red and purple were a lot darker. But gave you enough light to be able to walk around inside the tub.
Ah, the fun of LEDs. As long as the control circuitry is capable, amy colour should be possible. Love the effect in the photo, just as expected. :-)
Using red to not destroy one's night vision also makes sense when enjoying the night sky. A nice combination, especially if skies are clear in your area!
