Throughout my school years in gym class, I can't recall ever seeing anyone wear a jockstrap. This might have been due to the modesty prevalent during that time. In fact, during all my gym classes, I only ever saw one classmate fully nude. The first jockstrap I encountered belonged to my Dad, though I never actually saw him wear it, I presume he must have at some point. Once, I was allowed to get something from his dresser and came across the jockstrap. Initially, I mistook it for a rag or an old pair of disintegrating cotton underwear. Later, when I had the chance, I decided to try it on. In hindsight, it amuses me because I was in my early teens and didn't really need one that size, as it didn't fit well. It was just a standard white Bike model, nothing out of the ordinary.
I have never been particularly fond of underwear and, as a result, I don't own any. Instead, I have cultivated an impressive collection of jockstraps. When faced with occasions where wearing underwear might be expected, I invariably turn to my trusty jockstraps. For instance, when donning dress pants or sweats, I find jockstraps to be the ideal choice. Their snug fit and unique design provide a layer of comfort that traditional underwear simply cannot match. Dress slacks, with their often scratchy and unforgiving fabric, pair well with the soft and supportive nature of a jockstrap. Moreover, during certain activities or tasks, jockstraps excel in providing the necessary support and comfort, fulfilling their intended purpose with finesse.
This morning, I slipped a jockstrap on beneath my comfortable sweats before heading to the hardware store. As others have mentioned, there's something quite pleasing about the sensation while out running errands. I often find myself pondering whether other people can tell that I'm wearing oneperhaps they notice the broad waistband peeking out or the faint outline of the straps around my buttocks. To me, if I'm going to wear a piece of clothing, a jockstrap feels fun and playful, imbued with a sense of purpose that makes it stand out from other, more mundane garments.
Speaking of Jockstrap Stories, several months ago, Nuudstone clued me in on a podcast. Author Joey Hernandez wrote what I guess would be a combination of young adult literature and light erotica many years ago, that he recorded as a podcast in 2020.
Season one covers a team of high school boys in their final year of football camp. Theres no hot sex, but it does cover young men growing into their sexuality, and a lot of them getting feelings of their team mates beyond regular dude stuff
The Guys of North Ridge is the new (2025) update to Joeys promise to read more of his writings. Some were published, but he also reads some portions that he found tucked away in a file. Chapter 1 went live the other day. The lead character is now getting into body building after his football season ends. I cant wait to hear what happens next.
I was never into sports, but in high school and a few other times of my life I have gotten into weight lifting. I appreciate that the character loves how his body is developing, and admires himself.
I listen on Apple Podcasts, but I am sure you can find it if you have another source. Search Joey Hernandez or Jockstrap Stories. The shows are usually under 30 minutes.
