Lost my duck behind tree

I had to have a 100 yr old plus maple dropped last fall because it was mostly dead and if it had fallen westward would have landed on my house. This morning while watering my potted ferns in front of my bedroom window I realized that my duck behind tree no longer is there so that I could step behind it if the rare car comes along while i stand there in the buff. I am extra exposed.

Can't be too careful with your ducks. Getting them in a row is difficult enough without losing them as well!

I probably overuse hyphens but in written text thry can certainly help with compound adjectives. A duck-behind tree definitely has us more concerned for you than your duck! Quack!
