Barefoot is part of my nudist attire

I don't really consider myself nude if wearing shoes. I suppose there are times when shoes are necessary but i prefer flipflops then. So they can be easily removed. Just a thought.

If I'm anywhere near being nude, I'll likely be in flip-flops for footwear and, even if I class them as accessories rather than clothing (along with a hat or sunglasses), I agree it is special to be totally free when it is possible.

Co-signing on barefoot nudism or being barefoot all over, also align with wearing flip flops as the only alternative to being barefoot.

When I am nude at home or the beach, of course I am barefoot. In winter I'll be barefoot at home (inside) as I read somewhere it's good for us mentally and for our feet obviously. My new partner is not a nudist but is showing some interest, and is a barefooter about 90% of the time, always in her own house, flip flops most of the other 10%, hope that's a good sign.

I agree. I dont feel really nude, if I wear shoes or Flipflops. When I walk nude, I prefer to wear nothing, no shoes, no wristwatch, just nothing. Try to be almost how God created me.

Let's get serious. Wearing a hat, glasses/sunglasses and something on your feet does not dictate the level of complete nudity one does. Go back to the saying, "nude, when possible, clothed when practical." It goes for putting something on your head and on your feet. A bald or fair skinned person should not be categorized here as not being completely naked for protecting his/her head from sunburn or skin cancer. A person wearing flip flops or any footwear, shouldn't negate that either. Certain conditions warrant protection of parts of your body to continue to enjoy nudism.

I think the concept or thought that you're not really nude if you're wearing glasses/sunglasses, a hat, something on your feet due to environmental conditions is absolutely crazy. Maybe if you had soles that resembled cavemen, that could withstand the hot, cold, rough, rocky, sharp and painful things on your path, could you navigate without any discomfort. I don't have those types of soles on my feet. As a matter of fact, Tomorrow, I go to the salon with my wife for pedicures. I keep my feet nice looking and clean and soft. My wife enjoys my nice feet, on her feet, her legs and in her hands. But going barefoot regardless, just to say, "I'm totally naked", is not only illogical but idiotic.

I do go barefoot inside and outside in our backyard, front yard and in our garage. I prefer being barefoot but not about expose the soles of my feet to outside concrete, asphalt temps of well over 100 degrees. Or walk on sharp rocks, small stones, sharp pieces of wood, plants, thorns, just to say, I'm totally naked. Like me, there are many here that have lived this lifestyle for most of their lives. We've not just lived it at home and on our property but out in nature where elements can be harsh and unsafe. We've socialized with other nudists in real life and not just on the internet or within the confines of one's home or property. We've visited beaches, clubs, resorts, other nudist's homes, attended gathering on public lands in the woods, forest, mountains, deserts. Too many make these types of distinctions about nudity and nudism from the comfort and confines of their homes and computers. Is that "complete nudism?"

There are no absolutes in life. There are varying degrees of nudism and being naked/nude. Wearing a hat, glasses, footwear have zero to do with the completeness of your nakedness.

While I'll agree that I like being naked as possible, and that incudes walk on the beach or through a field barefooted, I've now gone through 7+ months of misery because I wasn't wearing good enough shoes when hiking. It's a long story that includes a bone infection and a broken leg. If I'm lucky, I will be hiking again this summer. I will be nude but with full on hiking shoes.

We all live and learn. In a perfect world, we would never have to wear clothes or shoes of any kind. We don't. But what we must all have is common sense and having something on your feet, in certain conditions, is the commonsense thing to do, regardless of what some think being completely naked means. Hope you're healing well and get back on the trails nkhiker!
