First lake visit this season
Summers are short here in the north woods, and the lakes don't always warm up until July. I had to think twice about making a 7 mile detour to a favorite skinnydipping spot yesterday, but I'm so glad that I did. Late afternoon, cloudless sky, warm gentle breeze, a perfect day. When I got to the shore, I found the lake was calm, gentle ripples and no humans except for some fishermen in a boat a good quarter mile out. It felt so natural to slip out of my clothes and ease into the water. Something about that lake water which feels silky on my bare skin, I just love that place. What a nice end to the afternoon.
