Who's hurricane prepping?

Well ... it looks like we're going to have another visitor to the area. I started to place a 'LOL' at the end but that would be in very poor taste. Our current weather scenario is gathering steam out there south of the Yucatan Peninsula waiting to head our way. I've already brought in all the plants, turned the table & chairs on the pool deck upside down, put the umbrella away, and rounded up all loose things around the yard. I dropped the pool 4" but don't know if that will be enough. The fall garden area will be a big mess and all those new plants just starting to emerge will not fare well ... part of the living in Florida deal. And I was able to do it all nude, too. We'll see how it goes. Anybody else doing the same thing?

Did the basics for prep work, moved some sandbags around and charging everything. Hopefully we get missed and worst case is we lose power for a bit. Got my beer, martini mix all set - we are ready

Over here in the Tampa area we may get an 8 foot storm surge. We are 100 yards from the Gulf but don't expect it will be a problem. Losing power and these big oak trees is the bigger concern so we moved the cars out from the tree areas.

OK folks, central Florida round two is coming up and it looks to be much worse. I'm up here safe in the Panhandle but am concerned for the folks in the already hard hit Tampa area. How is everyone down there doing?
