Caught by a Ranger
My wife and I were at our normal spot at the local public beach. We had walked about a mile from the nearest parking lot. I had been nude all day just like usual. We had gone on a couple of walks throughout the day with nobody within view. Around noon, one guy had split the difference between us and the parking lot to "camp out". He decided that was the place for him to be nude also. The problem was he was risking being viewed by the textiles around the parking lot. I just wish now he would have been closer to our location so as not to be viewed.
At the end of the day we waited for everyone to leave the beach and parking area and started the walk back to the car. Because there was no one in sight I decided to make the 1 mile trek back to the car in the nude. Part of the thrill of being an exhibitionist if the risk of being viewed or caught.
We got within 50 feet of our car and a ranger pulled into the parking lot. Of course I scrambled to get my shorts on but it was way too late, he saw me! The ranger said a woman had complained earlier in the day that a man was walking around that parking lot nude, so here I was nude. I told him we had just walked a mile and I was changing since our car was right in front of us. He really wasn't buying it so he asked for our Id's and called it in. Records were clean, so he said he would ask the woman for a better description and keep our file "handy". He said if 2+2 equals me fitting the description he would be in touch. I guess I won't try to walk nude back to the car anymore!
sorry it happened to ya, it is always a chance and then when it was the other guy it really makes it bad. We have only been cussed out once we were nude and someone really got upset about it. good luck hopefully does not come back to you.
So to clarify we were at a nude beach or at least part of it the usual spot was temp closed for removal of bees' nest next to walk over. so when the last spot the nudist designated spot is closed it is moved to the next lowest number. We had walked a half mile or so from the walk over to set up and had sight of approaching people. We had been there most of the day and no issues and not much traffic past us. a ranger or two passed by and no issues so we decided to go walking with another nudist couple still staying away from textiles. Well on the return trip back to our chairs there was a clothed couple coming toward us. The man stated cussing us and went on and on. We hate that it happened. We drive about eleven ours to go to the legal nude beach and enjoy the sea food. People come to the nude designated spot to fish clothed and some other clothed, they drive past a sign saying they may encounter nudist. still not legal to be in cross walk or parking lot. Were we within the wrong maybe.
Would I say there is a small part of mild exhibitionism in most nudist?? Probably not so much as being totally turned on by it but not caring either and maybe giving a chuckle over it. How many drive nude, go outside at home nude knowing it may happen? Let's not be too harsh on posters here. Point taken, let's not get caught up in social media beating them down because we are behind a key board.
Wonder why more people are not active on this site or this group. Humm
That's the kind of stuff that got our section of nude use of San Onofre Trail 6 taken away. Pushing the simple rules set by the parks department and rangers, agreed upon by the organization that got us nude use of the beach, in the first place. ALL the complaints and violations, that were used to take away nude use were things that happened in the parking lot or on the trail from beach to parking lot. From the parking lot to the sand, you still had to traverse a short section of textile beach. It was no more than 50-60 yards, yet nudists thought, "hell, it'll be fine. Who's gonna complain?" But they did and it only led to more reasons for the rangers and state parks department to stop our use of this section of beach.
Many textiles just can't wait to lodge a complaint about the nudists. They think they are doing something noble and worthy. We've never understood the reason for tempting fate in these situations. I've taken my fair share of chances with a few things but not when nude use of a place is tentative at best. First, it's a situation like this and then you push it more and more and then the real fun starts with a citation or court appearance. My wife and I don't really have to worry about our immediate family finding out, they already know. Extended family and friends suspect and if they don't know, they're blind. But for us, the bigger picture is being part of the reason authorities use to take what little we have of beach nude use as it is.
By the OP's own admission, he's got an exhibitionist streak, so this appears to be more of that then a true nudist sense of doing so. When this part of someone's reason for being nude takes precedence for their actions, it will end up hurting those of us that don't get naked for exhibitionist reasons.
I agree mostly with Andy on the circumstances of San Onofre ... but there was another reason that more or less broke the camel's back: This is not a homophobic statement, just stating the facts. The straw that broke the proverbial back of that camel was homosexual men having oral sex at the very end of the nude section of San Onofre, but technically, was on the Marine Base side of the boundary line. But as stated, textile prudes will seek any reason too shut us down, and even though the circumstances of these occasions happened on Camp Pendleton land and not the state park, the powers that be did not care, and that is what ultimately caused the closure in addition to the reasons stated by Andy. Was this exhibitionism? Hell yeah, and it sucked that it happened (no pun intended).
For the record, I miss any place being closed down, and the Volleyball folks at Glen Eden would on occasion go to San Onofre to play (there were even a few pros on the circuit who would play there). But I hated the rough entry (rocks) at that beach and for that reason alone I liked Blacks a lot more. But most folks hate that climb out of Blacks, so there were, at the time, cons and pros to going to both. I have on two occasions seen men masturbating at Blacks, but the regulars there (Blacks Beach Bare folks) and I quickly shut them down and threaten physical harm if they did not leave immediately. Nudism and Naturism is not exhibitionism in nature, but anything overtly sexual, or in the original posters situation, pushing the envelope on exposure, is negative and should not be done in the goal of preserving what we have left.
I did a circle trip through Florida in July, and went to Blind Creek, Playalinda, Apollo, and Hauler, and especially in the ones on the National sea shore, I was tempted to be nude in the parking lot. But there were people present, so I respected the boundaries ... with the exception of taking a selfie by the "nudes in area" sign (see my photos). Bottom line: dont allow your behavior shut down what we have. Every nude recreation site is precious.
