An open letter to TN Support
While we like TrueNudists there are numerous improvements we would like to see implemented. Support doesnt respond to our complaints so were going to try a letter in open forum.
When you click on a thumbnail - take you to that picture. Right now if you click on a thumbnail it takes you to the start of someones gallery .This is especially true on the open galleries where not only does it take you to the first pic of the gallery you have to figure out which gallery category it is in. I never go to the public galleries because I have to sift through hundreds of pics to view a single new submission. If a member adds a new picture clicking the link takes you to the start of their galleries and not the picture itself. If the member has a lot of pics in their galleries it is very cumbersome to find the new pics.
Let members control the order of the pictures in their galleries. Order can be important but pics posted seem to appear in random order. This also makes it difficult to find new submissions by other members because new pics are mixed together with the old.
When you post a comment on a pic, the gallery is reset to the beginning. Rather than allowing you to continue forward from where you were. This discourages feedback on pics.
When writing a review on a location, there is a place that allows you to rate the place on a five star scale. The default overall score is 1 (Horrible). I left a review for a resort I liked but didnt notice the rating scale. I hit submit and to my horror I left a great review with an inadvertent 1 star rating. TN doesnt allow you to edit your review. TN support did not respond to my request to change the rating. I recommend an unrated option as default that doesnt improve or degrade a locations rating. Better yet, allow the member leaving their review to edit their own post!
Inform members when friend requests are accepted by placing an automated message in their inbox. It took me months to figure out how to tell members that accepted our request for friendship. Also show members who have denied requests and/or have not responded. Indicate on the members profile if they are a friend.
Allow members to blur their face on the profile pic regardless of whether they are nude or not. Many members have legitimate privacy concerns from showing their face on a publicly accessible profile. People can lose their jobs if the wrong people see their pics on TN. We tried posting a pic with our faces blurred as our profile pic and TN saw it fit to delete it, despite the fact that other pics in our gallery that are accessible to friends and certified true nudists are not blurred.
Provide a mechanism to change gender on a members profile. I first signed up for TN to scope it out before I got my wife involved. Were comfortable enough with the site to change our gender status to Couple and are prepared to submit a new pic of both of us for certification. TN Support did not respond to our earlier request in this manner.
Provide sorting options of a members friend list. Often when I want to find a particular friend I have to scan every picture to find the right one. Sorting options would include Ascending, Descending, Date added as friend, Certified TN, Gender.
Why are you so fast to pull the trigger in deleting pics. I had one that was deleted that was quite tame and met all guideline. After further investigation it looks like the pic was deleted and then re-added. The problem is when you delete a pic you delete the comments too. TN is member driven. Why not let members flag a pic they feel is questionable. If the pic they flag doesnt meet the requirements, delete it. Otherwise leave it alone. I think members should decide which pics are offensive, not some TN admin. Add a Flag it icon on the gallery page so members can easily mark pics they find offensive. If a pic is truly offensive and is available in public view I think TN has a legitimate right/obligation to delete it. But if a member has a group of pics viewable only by a small circle of friends I think its wrong for TN to impose their morality by deleting pics.
When pics are deleted then show the deleted pic in the email sent to the member so they will know which ones were deleted. Its a guessing game now. Only by knowing which pics were deleted can you adjust your picture post to meet the standard, or at least have an opportunity to appeal the decision. Members who repeatedly re-post a pic deleted multiple times by TN admin should have their account frozen so that they cannot add more pics.
Improve TN support. Were paid members and I dont think TN support has responded to a single email request for support. Implement some type of support ticket system. Every support request deserves attention and some sort of response.
I'm surprised wht lttle interest this thread nas generated. If I was an admin at TN and saw what few post rresponded to this I would laugh and feel like we were doing agood job since 99% of the members have no such complaint.
This site could be greatly imorove and have a better mechanism for revieing pics before they are deleted at the whmi of s singleperson. This site is for members so let the member decide when pics have streppedmover the line. I spend a lot of time prepping pics for posting only to have 3 out of 8 deleted. What one person considers odscene another may consider it beutiful. If a husband and wife show each ther affection with clothes on - thats OK, but let them show the same affection towards each other as nudists and thy're close to being banned. When nude women sit slightly straddled on a piecs of patio furniture or on a stool and they shoow their vagina, we call that dirty and the pic must be removed. That's the equivalent of saying nudism is wrong and dirty. I'm not talking about sex - oral, intercourse, toys - but truly natural poses that show all of a womens beuty, How can we as a nudist movement say some ares of the body should not be seen. Its a double standard if you ask me.

The reason that your posting has not generated much (or any) outrage, is because everyone here has bitched about the same things since the site was created. many things HAVE improved, but you are also wrong or misinformed about several things.
Pictures are NOT deleted for the reasons you state... penises and vaginas are routinely shown throughout the site.
The pics are randomly chosen for the 1st five that non paying members can see. If you want to change them, just delete the pics and repost them, others will be in their place by that time..
The full galleries being open to only paid members is an obvious incentive to get people to pay...
On the other things you mention, TT1 has heard all of this hundreds of times.
"should have this, should have that" the site is what it is and we have all (mostly) learned to live with it the way it is...
"the whim of a single person" is all we need.......this is a website, not a democracy.
TT1 doesnt have to do anything he doesnt want to HIS site, we are all welcome to use it or not.
If we choose to use it, we are choosing to put up with the idiosyncracies of both the site, and the owners.
What makes this site special is the people, not the bells and whistles.
Some sites are more technologically advanced, or easier, or faster or more logical, but this one is still the best!

Budgreen: Except for TN going overboard with deleting pics the rest of my comments are meant to be constructive criticism with suggestions to improve the site. Yes its true that we as members can take it or leave it and go to another site. But this site doesn't exist without its members. I don't see the problem with suggesting wways to improve the site like clicking on a pic and actually going to that pic and not some other in the gallery. This site also survives by its PAID members. You make it sound like TN is totally oblivious wether people keep their memberships or not, but as a business they should care. If someone builds a better mousetrap people will flock to that mousetrap. Maybe TN will always have enough core members to sustain it but it may never reach its full potential when it has so many irritating idiosynchrosies. I do a lot of programming and I know some things could be fixed rather easily while others may take time. Fix the easy ones first.
The last update information or communication from the owner or admin
of their blog page was on June 5th 2009. So don't expect much in the
way of any changes, improvements or communications.

It's a great site but, I think it is the case of absentee landlord. They built a site that can just run on it's own.
