The Power of Touch

Many years ago on a naturist holiday as a family we became friendly with a Norwegian family. They showed our boys a naturist game theyd learned on a naturist holiday in France. They called it a Bain de Mains which translates as a bath of hands.

Its a reminder that so often as nudists we experience each others bodies through the sense of sight only. This opens up a new, beautiful and appropriate (its not group groping!) way to experience each other and share our nakedness and humanity together.

Quite simply one person stands or lies down and the others gently lay their hands on their body. Its a simple, gentle surrender to touching and being touched nude. The person receiving the touch can choose to exclude certain body parts or even wear swimwear or whatever if they wish but once people see a Bain de Mains and how gentle it is they seem to relax and not worry. Ever since that Norwegian family showed it to us its become part of we do when we meet up with our naturist friends. It can be amazingly emotional and beautiful. We live in an age where people are afraid of their own bodies, afraid of nudity and terrified of touch. Just like hugs, touch is beautiful and good. Not all touch is inappropriate! Being bathed in gentle, (appropriate) touch is a beautiful experience.
