Looking for places to stay in Uruguay

I will be exploring Uruguay in late February 2025. I have about 11 days with no set plans. Open to suggestions as to where to stay and what to do . Any ideas?

Can I assume you already know about Hotel Refugio on Playa Chihuahua? Its around 100 km west of Montevideo.
