G Strings
I have seen men and women in g strings at all three east coast beach towns where I have stayed (Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, and Miami Beach, and Disney water parks, but don't remember ever seeing any on the west coast. Is the difference legal or cultural?
I believe that it is cultural. I do see some women in thongs (not sure if they count as g-strings) at Fort Myers Beach and Manisota Key. I do know at least one man that wears a thong around the beaches around Fort Myers, so I think it's fine from a legality perspective. More of a cultural reason that there aren't more.
I'd consider wearing one if I wasn't the only guy wearing one, but would prefer to wear nothing, so I'd seek that out first.

If you went to the other side of Florida, there would probably be a few other men in thongs and g strings. But you could then go to Haulover and wear nothing.
