I do have a pair of ratty old athletic shoes. I only wear them when they are REALLY needed.
I have a pair of sandals that I essentially never wear. Both pairs are kept in the car -- just in case.
I have a hoody and a jacket -- essentially never wear them -- both are kept in the car -- just in case.
