Nuke hiking in Arizona

Hello everyone! I'm sure this question has been asked, I have been combing through forum posts about hiking in Arizona but it seems like a lot of info may be dated and I want to refresh the discussion for my wife and I and for other newbies who may be looking for similar information. We'll be moving back to Phoenix soon and are new to the nudism life so we know very little about local options.

Are there any hikes in Arizona that are clothing optional, or have areas where being nude can be safely done? I know there are probably no "legal" or dedicated clothing optional hikes, this is more of a question for those "in the know".

Just east of Tucson, there is Tanque Verde Falls

Tanque Verde Falls is a very popular nude sunning spot east of Tucson. Skinnydipping is popular as wellthat is, when there is actually water in the creek. The creek is often bone dry, but it does catch snowmelt from the mountains in the spring and rainwater in late summer during the rainy season (sometimes exaggerated as the "summer monsoon" season).

Near the beginning of the trail that descends into the canyon, there is a sign for Upper Tanque Verde Falls that has been marked over (by locals, not authorities) with messages announcing nude use of the area. As you walk upstream from the creek bed in the canyon, you'll probably encounter nudists within 10 minutes or so. If you visit on a day when there aren't naked bodies to let you know you've found it, you'll know you're in the middle of the nude area when you reach an old dam.

I hike nude up in Coconino NF frequently. I rarely see others. But I carry a terry cloth wrap for a quick cover-up. Just in case .

I have rented pontoon boats out of Katherine's Landing at Lake Mohave. It is a zoo in summer yet in spring and fall during mid-week there is very little traffic. I'm usually nude once outside the no wake buoys and stay that way the rest of the day. There are plenty of secluded coves especially on the California side. You can beach the boat and picnic, hike and swim nude all day.
I've noticed that because of the seclusion and lack of traffic that if a boat enters the cove and sees that someone is already there that they generally move on to another cove. It is not exactly legit yet due to remoteness and lack of traffic, boating nude is very doable.

There is also a group that goes to Havasu and uses the the BLM camping areas near the south end.

I can't remember the group name. I am going to send a friend request to you so I can remember you and when I find the group name I will PM it to you.
There is also Shangra La Ranch near Phoenix with limited hiking yet the nudists there probably have great nude hiking area knowledge to share.

Also, if you are RVers, the Magic Circle is a group that's been granted use of about 450 acres of BLM land in Las Posas South, Quartzsite. This is a clothing optional group / area with dry camping, and a few miles of hiking trails. The Circle has a presence here on TN as well as elsewhere on the web.
