Nude in the sauna with clothed friends

I recently spent a few nights at a lodge with four male friends. It had a private sauna, and on the first night we all used it in swimwear. The next evening, I told them Id be going in nude for a final session of the day. They were all fine with that, though none of them decided to join.

I took off my swimwear under my towel, spread it on the top bench, and lay back completely naked. After a few minutes, one of the others opened the glass door and asked if I wanted a drink. He returned with water and stood just outside, smoking and chatting casually. I was lying there fully exposed everything in full view, arms relaxed, nothing hidden, and he clearly noticed "oh, I forgot you were naked". There were a few glances, but he kept the conversation normal and friendly. It was curiosity, not discomfort. Later he went for a vape and kept looking in and had longer conversation with me.

Later in the evening I went back in, still nude. This time one of the others joined me. I offered to cover up with my towel but he said there was no need. He stayed in his trunks and sat on the lower bench, directly below me. From where he was, everything was visible. I stayed just as I was, arms behind my head, legs slightly apart. We talked for a while and it felt completely natural.

Eventually a third friend joined us. I remained nude on the top bench while both of them sat clothed below, heads roughly level with my waist. They had a full view of my body throughout the session, but neither of them acted uncomfortable. They stayed engaged in conversation and didnt try to avoid looking.

At one point, the topic turned to body confidence. They said they thought it was great that I felt so at ease. There were a few direct comments about my body, including my above average size, which they clearly noticed. The tone was light and good-humoured. Later that night, someone left a cartoon penis drawing on the fridge, obviously a cheeky reference to the sauna, but I found it funny and took it as a sign that theyd accepted the whole thing in good spirit.

As a naturist, this was a quietly affirming moment. I didnt try to make a point or change anyones views. I just did what felt natural, and my friends responded with respect, openness, and unexpected ease. It reminded me how quickly people can normalise nudity when its treated without shame or drama.
